Having finished third in British F4 and the FIA Motorsport Games F4 Cup in his maiden year of single-seaters with Hitech GP, Reza Seewooruthun is set to step up to GB3 for 2025, joining series newcomers Argenti with Prema.

Coming off a karting career highlighted by winning the 2022 English Karting Championship in Junior Rotax, Seewooruthun made his car racing debut racing in the Ginetta Junior Championship for R Racing in 2023 and finished third in the standings.
In a season dominated by Freddie Slater, Seewooruthun won all three races of the Brands Hatch round and finished no lower than second in the season-ending Donington Park round, where he won race two.
Reflecting on his experience with the Ginetta cars, Seewooruthun said: “In the Ginetta, you’re in a car which is super soft, obviously it’s a tin top car and it’s got a sequential gearbox but you’re on a road tire so the car slides all around the place.”
Adjusting to F4 “all about that brake lead-off”
Following his Ginetta Junior campaign, Seewooruthun stepped up to F4 competition for 2024, racing with Hitech in the F4 UAE Championship.
Starting the season with no points in the first three rounds, Seewooruthun finished second in the third Yas Marina round in wet conditions and finished seventh in the third race. He finished 16th in the standings.
Having driven two completely different types of cars, Seewooruthun had to adapt to a new driving style for single-seaters. “It’s all about that brake lead-off,” he said.
“In F4 it’s all about your brake shape, a lot of your braking is in a straight line, and the car has a lot more grip, but in the racing sense, with the Ginetta you don’t get a lot of aero wash compared to an F4, where you’re coming up behind people and sliding out because you don’t have pressure on your wing, so it’s different but we’ve adapted to it.”
After the F4 UAE championship, Seewooruthun stayed with Hitech, racing in the British F4 Championship, where he would be joined on a full-time basis by Deagen Fairclough.
[Formula 4 is] a lot different compared to the Ginetta Seewooruthun on the differences between F4 and Ginetta Juniors
Seewooruthun enjoyed a strong rookie season, winning at Thruxton and Silverstone and scored a string of top-five finishes to finish third in the standings.
“Going into the British season, we did testing and our pace was looking good,” he said.
“We were just lacking a bit of race experience in F4 because it’s a lot different compared to the Ginetta, where you could have contact all the time. Bit of a slower start to the British F4 season than what I would’ve liked, but now, we’re there pace and race craft-wise.”
Competing in Euro 4 “a learning experience”
Seewooruthun also made a one-off appearance in the Euro 4 Championship, driving alongside Fairclough and Thomas Bearman as Hitech made their debut in the championship.
On his first trip to Austria, Seewooruthun went from 17th to eighth in race three, as well as taking the fastest lap.
“It’s been tough, we’ve struggled a bit adapting to the car here,” Seewooruthun said. “It’s slightly different to the UK, there are different rules on what you can change [in the setup] but the team are doing a good job with that and then it’s also a learning experience, for me, being on another level on circuit, it’s good experience and it’s going well.”

Towards the end of the year, Seewooruthun represented the UK in the Formula 4 Cup of the FIA Motorsport Games at Valencia. He finished fourth, but was later promoted to third as track limit penalties were applied post-race.
Two months later, it was announced that Seewooruthun would step up to GB3 joining series newcomers Argenti with Prema, alongside Mercedes junior Yuanpu Cui.
